Caring for our communities. Caring for people. "Being the hands and feet of Jesus" to those around us should be a central part of who we are. We sometimes presume that reaching the world for Jesus is something done by missionaries in foreign lands, but that is just one of many ways in which people share the gospel. If you are a disciple of Jesus, then your neighbor, your co-worker, your friend, your workout buddy – the people who are part of your life - are all a mission field as well. If the Savior has changed your life, make time to share who He is! You are uniquely qualified to share God's part in your story with the people God has placed in your life. And if God calls you to do something bigger, more difficult, or farther away, follow and be honored to represent Him wherever He calls.
Genuine relationships are one of God’s greatest gifts, and we seek to connect with people authentically. We are made for community, and one of the primary purposes of "the church" is to be a place where Christ-followers find support and strength together as we grow in our discipleship. We try to live that out in real, day-to-day experience, both within our church family, and in the world. Within our family, we want to support, encourage, and love one another, providing accountability and holding up each other’s needs in prayer. Outside, we seek to accept people – who they are and where they are – and help our friends and neighbors understand that we are all sinners in need of a Savior. Everyone is welcome here.
No matter where we are in our spiritual journey, God’s not finished with us yet! Whether you’re a new believer or have been a student of the Bible for decades, God wants to equip you and mature you, growing your faith, your understanding of His Word, and your ability to let Him transform you into who He created you to be. The more we understand who God is, the more we are able to live in ways that reflect His heart and His purposes. This is why we so strongly emphasize Bible teaching – for every age and stage – to make you a disciple drawing closer and closer to Him.
Everyone's passionate about something – their favorite sports, activities, hobbies, arts, business ventures...whatever they prioritize in their lives because they simply love doing it. Those passions are part of what makes us the unique people we are. We believe that the things of God are worthy of our highest passion...that following Him should be the thing we pursue the hardest. Oftentimes, our passion for God can intersect with our other pursuits, creating wonderful opportunities to use the things we love doing as platforms for sharing Christ or growing in our own faith. When our interests bring us together with others, let's look for ways to be the hands and feet of Jesus to someone. And let's live life with enthusiasm...there is joy in following Jesus!
