Child Dedication Services

Thank you for choosing to participate in First Melissa’s Child Dedication celebration! This is such a special season for your family, and we are honored to walk alongside you. Child Dedication is a meaningful milestone that connects you as parents to the wonderful responsibility and privilege of leading your children spiritually. When you present your child to the Lord, you are acknowledging two important truths: first, your child is God’s creation and ultimately belongs to Him; and second, as parents, you are committing to intentionally raise your child in a way that honors God. As your church family, we desire to partner with you on this path. First Melissa is committed to providing biblically sound teaching for your family, a loving community to grow in, and ongoing support and encouragement rooted in Scripture. Much like baptism is an outward expression of an inward commitment, participating in Child Dedication is a public declaration of your desire to build a strong spiritual foundation for your child. One that prayerfully leads them to become a follower of Jesus. In this commitment, you are choosing to pray faithfully for your child and to teach them God’s truth. By joining in this celebration, you are also inviting your church family to partner with you through prayer, support, and providing a Christ-centered environment for your child to grow. All communication regarding the Child Dedication service will be shared with parents directly through email or text.
